David, it's good to see that someone is still vigilant! Thank you for your regular postings. During the worst of times for the Iowa film scene, so few in the Iowa film community joined in the fight to keep the film program hanging by the single thread that presently supports it. Neil Wells, The Busbees, Doug Miller, Eric Dean Freese, Jay Villwock, John Bush, Becky Gruening, Tammy Shutters, and several others were there, but the majority was not. That majority needs to start now to join our efforts. Write something here, or on my Facebook group, I.A.C.T. Contact some legislators. Write to the editor of the Des Moines Register. We can't become complacent or stagnant because if the present film program isn't replaced by a suspension-free one pushed by Senator Dotzler there likely will never be a film program here again.
